The Bangladesh Knitting Owners Association (BKOA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the art and craft of knitting. Our mission is to foster a community of knitters, from beginners to experts, and to provide them with resources, education, and support to enhance their knitting experience.
Our organization was founded in 2005 by a group of knitting enthusiasts who recognized the need for a centralized hub for knitters to come together, share their knowledge and skills, and connect with like-minded individuals. Since then, we have grown into a thriving community of over 5,000 members from all over the world.
At KOA, we believe that knitting is more than just a hobby – it’s a way of life. We strive to promote the benefits of knitting, from the therapeutic effects of repetitive motion to the satisfaction of creating something beautiful with your own hands.
To achieve our goals, we offer a range of programs and activities for our members, including:
- Knitting classes and workshops taught by experienced instructors
- Monthly knitting circles where members can socialize, share tips and techniques, and work on projects together
- Annual knitting retreats where members can escape to a peaceful, scenic location to focus on their craft
- Charity knitting projects to give back to our local and global communities
- Knitting-related resources such as patterns, books, and tools available for loan from our lending library
Whether you’re an experienced knitter or just starting out, we invite you to join our community and explore the world of knitting with us.
